HCP, SCEA Invest $6Mn in NetentSec

Highland Capital Partners (HCP) and Sumitomo Corporation Equity Asia (SCEA) invested USD 6 million in NetentSec Inc. (NetentSec). This is NetentSec's first funding. Established in 2002 and headquartered in Beijing, NetentSec provides Internet security services for all organizations, industries, and geographic locations. It has emerged as the premier Internet security company in China. Founded in 1988, HCP is a leading VC firm investing in seed-, early- and growth-stage companies with high growth potential in the sectors of communications, consumer, digital media, healthcare, and information technology.

Established in 2002 and headquartered in Hong Kong, SCEA is a subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation. It invests in companies operating in the high-tech and traditional business sectors in China and Asia including Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore.
