The China Enterprises IPO Annual Report 2009 is one of the serial research reports published by Zero2IPO Research Center in 2009. According to the report: In 2009, a total of 176 Chinese enterprises went public on 13 overseas stock markets and three domestic ones watched by the Zero2IPO Research Center and raised US$54.65B in total, with an average financing amount of US$311.00M. In 2009, the listings of the Chinese enterprises at home and abroad presented an evident momentum of recovery, and the quantity and financing amount of the listings both rebounded remarkably, driven by such blessings as the continuous warming of the overseas capital markets, resumption of the IPOs on the domestic A-share market and launch of the ChiNext. The number of the enterprises going public was 63, greater than that in 2008, while the financing amount jumped 150.3% year on year.
The main content of the report consists of the review of the listings of Chinese enterprises in 2009, the detailed statistics and analysis of Chinese listed enterprises at home and abroad and those with VC/PE capital injection, and the case collection and disclosure of 77 VC/PE-backed Chinese listed enterprises. As the special issue of the China Enterprises IPO Annual Report 2009, the China Securities Companies Direct Investment Report 2010 analyzes the current development environment and operating modes of the direct investment of securities companies based on the current status of this emerging business. Up till December 2009, a total of 17 securities companies had been qualified to pilot the direct investment business, the registered capital of their directly invested subsidiaries had amounted to RMB14.50B, and the direct investment amount of these securities companies had added up to RMB1.51B according to relevant information disclosures. By summing up the successful experiences of these securities companies in direct investment, the special issue analyzes the opportunities available for securities companies to get involved in the VC market as direct investors and provides them with the suggestions to develop direct investment business. Finally, the special issue forecasts the overseas market, domestic market and Chinese enterprises’ VC/PE-backed IPOs in 2010. This year, the overseas listings of Chinese enterprises are expected to further pick up and reach 85, and the domestic market, under the optimistic estimate, will see 15 listings on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and 120 listings on the SMEB and ChiNext respectively.
