Recently, Singaporean real estate company Pacific Star Group announced it will raise US$2B for its real estate fund Asia Fund Select Concept Fund.
This is an open-end fund for the global institutional investors. It will mainly invest into Asian real estate enterprises. FritzNehrig, Senior Vice President of the Pacific Star Fund, said the fund will invest in southeast Asia (Vietnam and Malaysia), India, Japan, South Korea and China, etc.
As a matter of fact, the Pacific Star Group is one of the second batch overseas investment companies investing in China. Earlier, the group conducted equity investment to listed real estate companies. For instance, EUR1.2B Asia Real Estate Income Fund was staked in Rui An Real Estate - the Shanghai New World Building developer.
