On April 17, 51wan.com confirmed in Beijing that it secured investment from Sequoia Capital China. Meanwhile it announced its development strategy for 2008.

51wan.com was launched by Yang Liu, a senior manager of Kingsoft, on August 1, 2007. This site, with webpage games as its main business, provides 100 categories of sole-operation or united-operation webpage game products. It is introduced that 51wan accumulated about 1.7 million active users; the business has been extended to Hong Kong, Taiwan and overseas markets.

Mr. Liu disclosed that the site is conducting deep cooperation with an international network magnate, and will announce the detailed cooperation plan in the following days. Meantime, the management team will be first shown. The staff of the company has enlarged to about 50 from the previous 16.
