SAIF Injects RMB40M to 58.com
2008-06-10   Zero2IPO News

On June 6, 58.com, an information-sorting website, announced that it secured RMB40M funding from SAIF. This is the second round after it received US$5M from SAIF in 2006.

The profit sources for the information-sorting website are individual fees and company fees. Company fees also include those sorted advertisements, such as recommended star stores 58.com launches. In addition, the site launched price bidding model as Baidu.com does. However, the individual fees will not be performed within two years because this model is not attractive to individuals much. The company fee model is more practicable.

58.com has established five branches and over 100 sub-sites across China so far. The investment proceeds will contribute much to the operation of the site.
