Reportedly, Sino-Finland Pharmaceuticals Fund being established will start its business in the near future. This fund will invest in China early-stage bio/healthcare deals with international marketing potentials. This Fund, sized at EUR30M, will be sourced from the Finland and China partners evenly, to facilitate the R&D and internationalization of China bio/healthcare deals.

According to Professor Weiguo Jia, Deputy Director of Shanghai Innovative Research Center of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Director of China Deals under Sino-Finland Pharmaceuticals Fund, said the EUR15M from Finland part will be sourced from Finnish Industry Investment Ltd under Finnish Trade & Industry Ministry and some private capitals. 

Sources say three China private capitals are contacting with this fund. Finnish Principal of the fund wishes Chinese government will participate in the Fund.

The fund will help the pharmaceutical innovation of the two countries, and help Chinese bio/healthcare enterprises explore their European markets.
