Netentsec Secures US$6M from Highland and SCEA

Reportedly, Highland Capital Partners (Highland) and Sumitomo Corporation Equity Asia (SCEA) jointly invested US$6M in Netentsec, an Internet controlling management corporation, earlier this year.

Hongchuan Tu, Partner of Highland, said this investment is the first round for Netentsec. The investors look well of China's Internet's contents and anti-virus management, and Netentsec's professional management team as well. Most of the senior staff have accumulated rich experience in working in a foreign-funded software management company.

Netentsec was established by US-based VCs, senior financial management experts and returnees. It facilitates customers to better control the Internet. Netentsec provides leading Internet control & management solutions, helping customers deal with Internet problems resulting from inappropriate behavior, content security, bandwidth distribution, Internet application, and public information, and resolving Internet problems challenged by management, safety, efficiency, resource, law and pathological Internet use by youths.
