iDTV and Fortune Venture Capital Co., Ltd. (Fortune) to invest RMB80M to Youge Biology Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (Youge Biology) has got officially approved by the Ministry of Commerce of People's Republic of China (MOC) days ago.

Youge Biology, established in April 2001, has the total assets worth RMB400M to produce 160,000 tons of milky products per annum. Its main products include powdered milk, lactobacillus and soft milk series. Youge Biology stands out among milk producers of the same category in North China, which won this investment, according to Frank Lv, Partner of iDTV.

Insiders say TMT enterprises get little innovation in recent years, drawing VCs to diversify their investment targets. Based on the statistics from Zero2IPO Research Center, the deal number in TMT has been decreasing in recent two years.

Previously, iDTV has been focusing on TMT investment. However, the firm changed its preference since this year and began to invest in traditional enterprises.
