Mr. Xiaochun Cao, Deputy General Manager of Tigermed Consulting Ltd. expressed days ago that Tigermed has signed an agreement with Qiming Venture Partners (Qiming) and finished all the capital injection and ownership transfer procedures. As a domestic Contract Research Organization (CRO), Tigermed has attained US$5 million from Qiming.

Established in late 2002, Tigermed has gradually become one of the leading CRO companies with its strength and focus on clinical tests. Two months ago, Tigermed declared that it had joined the Shanghai CRO Service Alliance (CROSA) which was initiated by Sundia MediTech Company Ltd., HD Biosciences Co., Ltd. and NovaSecta, enabling CROSA to build a complete pharmaceutical R&D outsourcing & service industrial chain and provide outsourcing services for global pharmaceutical and biotechnological companies.  

According to William Hu, an investment director at Qiming, the strong management and executive team is one of the crucial factors that lead to the finalization of the investment.
